i know when it comes to car modding it isnt cheap but i look to craigslist to fix that. i just bought some nice rims for $400 and now with my birthday i wanna buy a sound system. I dont know a lot about them and dont really know how to distinguish what is good and whats bad. I hear the alpine makes good products.
Im not looking for a crazy loud system im just trying to upgrade from stock. I already have a sub compatible deck and ive been surfing on CL for subs and amps.

i Found this for $150
Alpine 750 watt amp

Alpine 12" type E in a truck box

and this for $150
selling a 12 in type r in a box with 1000 watt alpine amp

and this for $150
Sony Xplod 12" sub and box with Infinity Kappa 1400 watt bridged amp

any thoughts?

The Type R is the only thing worth the money. The rest is garbage.

yea it will work, but i might do a 4 gauge instead. i would also invest in some wiring that is of decent quality.

alpine typr r is my entire system. greatest thing iv heard in my life. all powered b a kenwood exlon head unit. they are worth money, the kenwood is the most detailed on screen and easiest to use in my opinion. and the quality is unbeatable. speakers, alpine type r is the greatest invest to make. the new 2011's with the sub surround and smaller magnets are just... wow.
