Ok, as some of you may know my alero is white. I'm going with a red theme to it though, red calipers, valve cover, all lighting is red, sub box is red and soon a red and black pin stripe. Iv been thinking about redoing my headlight bezel, I want the 2 outer bulbs to be clear instead of painted and just do like a black outline around them, BUT it came to mind "what if I were to put like a red pinstripe painted around it, w/most of black" something like just a small touch around the back side of the bezel to set it off a bit.
Is this a dumb idea and I should just go with black or anyone else think the red stipe in it would look cool?
Also, my buddy has a while alero as well and has been wanting me to clear his corners, he wants painted blue, opinions on that as well?

as far as the bulbs go they have to light up amber otherwise it is illegal

You've had no trouble, yet. Anything that lights up other than amber for a t/s or side marker is illegal. Blue and red will get you busted REALLY quick.

Blue: looks like a cop car and your not a cop. BIG TROUBLE
Red: Red lights are on the backs of cars and also an emerceny vechile type lighting.

As for the painting idea, the red pin stripe sounds cool. All black bezel shouldn't be a problem. A few guys have that done already ;)

Ya, I still like mine all black I just also like nice clean look of it all outlined in black. I had blue LEDs for the larger bulb for a bit and white th outer one, first got pulled over for the blue, he said the white was fine though. Went home and switched it out with a white led, been fine, passed many copes and been pulled over once. They haven't said anything.

as long as the cop said the white is fine, then you are good to go I guess. I'd say if you want to, paint it... If you don't like it, you can always go back to the way it was.

I ran blue side marker and turn signal bulbs in the headlights for 6 months, i knew it was illegal, but i never got in trouble for them. :) its all really just luck if you can get away with it or not.

I did for about a week then the one cop in my town who cared about it pulled me over for them. Just told me to go get new bulbs.

I loved mine! Added a really nice touch, I got TONS of complements on them. Now it's all white and plain like... Eh.

I'd rather have white and plain than a $500 ticket. ;)

Most cops won't really give you a ticket for it. Especially if you are a teen. But if they catch you again, they most likely will give you one.
