If anyone here could give me a link or tell me where I can purchase a New 3400 SFI Engine complete it would help me out a lot. Mine currently has 130k on it and I am looking to replace it and the tranny.

dont think you'll find it new.... but you can get GM remanufactured, the dealership here says its 2100 for the 4T45-E.

I think your best bet would be to try and search the local salvage yards. If that doesn't work for ya, there's always Ebay....I've seen both engines AND trannies on there from time to time.
Best of Luck !

Also www.car-part.com (http://www.car-part.com) . It's basically a network of salvage yards across the nation.

you also need to be more specific. when you say knew, i think brand new, 0 miles.

you want new stuff, or newer stuff then what you have?

why do you need an engine? Only because you have 130k?

I think he may be hesitant of the mileage, and I can't blame him. I've contemplated buying a low mileage motor for the same reason. ( I've only got 80k on mine, but time and mileage fly by )

well I was debating on buying a new car and try to sell the alero, or replace the engine with something under 25k miles and replacing the transmission with a new one.
