View Full Version : Who Wants to Help Me Wire a Switch?
I have an illuminated push button switch I need to install in my vehicle and I am little lost. I see the positive and negative and load and a 4th which I think I can skip. My question is I connect the power and the ground and then the accessory I want on to the load right? If the push button is LED illuminated do I have to run a relay or resistor or can I go straight from a fuse in the panel

Straint from the panel. You shouldn't need a resistor.

Where are you getting the switch from? Do you have any specs?
It's just a radio shack 275-0009 I think

Whacha using the switch for??? lol...
I have one video input on my touchscreen and its used for my back up camera (This is on my Silverado) and I want another video input for iPhone video out. I used a video splitter but I needed to tell the screen to turn on the video. So i wired the positive wire to a fuse and then need the switch to alternate between standard functions and modes to camera/video function.
I have the switch wired correctly but now I need get it illuminated Checking the ground here in a second
Well I think I blew the LED? I attempted to connect ground and saw spark and now neither open terminal is making it light up. Still have function but that's it.
