Fuel filter quick connect

I was replacing fuel filter and the o ring had split-were does it go, got another one but dont know were to put it.

I was replacing fuel filter and the o ring had split-were does it go, got another one but dont know were to put it.

Alright finally got it-it goes in the line about half way in there is a groove it is not noticable lookin from the outside of the connector.Use some good old fashioned spit on the neck of the filter and instal it slow so you dont move the o ring out of place.
