water on floor

I have water on the floor on the drivers side mat not the passenger side, could this be the heater core?

the heat isn't much today, not hot at all.
thermostat maybe?

I believe the heater core is on the pass side. Look up under the dash in front of the center consol and see if it's wet there

not only that but if it was the heater core you would have COOLANT on your floor and not just water. iv seen a lot of cases like this where the windsheild starts to leak and it leaks water down into the drivers side fuse box and then down onto the floor. can make a real mess of things

I think we have a winner here!!!

At least on my 1995 Escort, the same thing (on the passenger side) can be caused by water getting into the HVAC vent.

x2, I'v seen this a couple times and it's not long before you corrode the shit out of the fuse panel... believe me...

Is the windshield the original or has it been replaced?

I'm thinking (based upon personal experience) that replacement windshields are more likely to be leaking (due to poor installation).

original windshield but I did have to silicone the top corner,so it could be from there.
everything looks dry under the dash, will try a water hose and see if i can recreate it. thanks.
