Security light

I can not figure out how to get it to turn off???? what has happened is i removed all of the after market audio equipment and have gone back to the stock head unit, which had sat in my house for 8 years, plugged it in and it works fine, BUT the security has come on and stays on, it does not flash it just stays lit all the time, i have let the car sit with the key on for 10--20--30 mins and it has not helped, i have cleared the codes and nothing. i have held down the reset button and nothing, now i dont know what to do? i need to get it inspected and i dont know if i can with the security light on? any ideas??


the car starts and runs without issue, just the security light is always on.

Car shouldn't fail inspection for a "security" light being on.

Maybe you bumped something when reinstalling the stock radio? IDK sounds like something simple like that.

Take off your bezel and see if any wires are loose on the back of the ign cyl ;)

You have a tuning program or just a code reader? What code/s are you getting?

what did you remove? was everything you removed "plug and play" or tapped into shit? if everything was plug and play and not modified i would guess you had to have pinched a wire or maybe just a coincidence.
