Having Some Problems With The Alero...suprise Huh.

When I am parked and I put the 3.4 Auto, into drive my rpms shoot up around the 1400 area, when it normally idles at about 1k max. Then if i drive it and get to about 30 if i push the gas the rpms will shoot up but the cars speed will be teh same as it was unless i floor it. Anyways I attempted driving it and the SES light came on. And I think it may be that one of the metal wires on the throttle body may be getting stuck or something, has anyone else had this type of problem. BTW I added some trans. fluid, but I can't tell how much should be put in. Is there a dipstick or something for teh tranny fluid,. how can you tell if it is low or full.

O poop, now that i think of it theres that red cap on top of the trans to add. My bad. I got too many cars. I belive the dipstick is behind the three cylinders closest too firewall. Not 100% tho, have ta look.

there is no dipstick, there is a drain hole and a fill hole, you pull the fill hole plug out, and fill it till it comes out.
