I got my LED lights in and tried putting them earlier, they look great and work but when i press on the brake pedal they dont get any brighter like they are supposed to. do I just need resistors to fix that? O.o

No. You need the right kind of LED bulb for that. The stock bulbs are dual filament, one for night time running lights and one brighter for the brakes. You need a LED bulb that is similar.

I know it sounds crazy but find someone with an infinity or a car that comes with led rear's from factory. take the bulb out and see the make and model number and see if they fit. Thats my best guess

I'm pretty sure cars like Infinity or BMW use led boards in the tailights.

Oh... it was just a quick thought.

No, something like this,
http://www.superbrightleds.com/cgi-bin/store/index.cgi?action=DispPage&Page2Disp=%2Fspecs%2F315x-x18-T.htm
The ones that are 3157

^do they have to be in that style? I was really hoping to find some like the ones in my link to match the others, I don't like the way those ones look in the tails... Well either one in your link should work right? And I'll need resistors so as to not trigger the bulb out so the cruze control will work. The big or small resistor for those?

As long as the bulb is 3157 then it will work. It MUST be 3157, NOT 3156.
As for the resistors... I have no idea. Who cares about curse anyways

your sure any LED 3157 bulb will work? the ones I was trying to drop in were 3057, same fitting but that would explain why they're not working.

Actually, these bulbs will work better.
http://www.superbrightleds.com/cgi-bin/store/index.cgi?action=DispPage&Page2Disp=%2Fspecs%2F315x-x3W.htm
3157 means that the bulb is dual contact for dual intensity (ie, running lights and brake lights) 3156 means that it is single contact for single intensity.

I ordered http://www.superbrightleds.com/cgi-bin/store/index.cgi?action=DispPage&Page2Disp=%2Fspecs%2F3156_57_specs.htm they 3157 type. So they should work. And match the other bulbs I already have in. Thanks for the help, I probable would have spent a few hours staring at it trying to figure out wtf was going on

Where did you put them? The outer tails have the 3157 base, the inner tails have a 3156 base, altho you can wire the inner tails to be 3157

Good point, I forgot to ask what bulbs he is replacing. did you put LEDs in the outer sockets then they didnt light up with the brakes like the outside do.

I'm rewiring it to where the trunk mounted ones will serve as the brake lights as the outside ones did, then the outer ones will be running lights like the trunk mounted were. Do I need to swap bases as well then?

Why would you want the inside ones to be for the brake and the outer for the running lights. I got it backwards in my other post lol.

I think it'll look better. That way all the brake lights will be on the trunk to. I don't like how only half the outer one is brake light when the other is just a running light, and it'll be somthing different.

might want to check state inspection laws and be prepaird for some issues there.

they lights are still the same and will operate the same, they are just moved over about 4in. I already checked laws and stuff before in tinted, in Illinois as long there is a clearly defined brake light (red) visible from x distance and a clearly defined turn signal for each side and and revers lights it's legal.

Yes you need new bases. the 56 base is hot and ground, the 57 base is hot, ground and alternate. Basically 56 is 2 wire, 57 is 3 wire.

Hmm, I didn't realize there was a difference. Well it'll be a good weekend project.
