JL w0 12 inch subwoofer

I just picked this up on craigslist for $30 because my Alpine type r doesnt work ( i think its the voice coil)

But on the alpine sub it was easy to hook up like this

But now im looking at the JL sub and it looks like this

My question is i dont know how to hook up the sub.

i know i have to use the positive and negative wire from the sub box but i dont know how to wire it with the thing that there wires are suppose to go look like that

get some quick disconect terminals somewhere like theese http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_2951_Female-Quick-Disconnect-BLUE-Connectors-.250-16-14G-100-Pack.html or you could solder the wires on as well

Good price. How's the resonce time? The jls I listened to at the audio store could keep up with a fast double peddle in metal music as well as the alpines. What amp are you running with it? I think they had a shitty one hooked up theirs..

Go to Wal Mart and get some crimp on terminals in the audio section. You need the wider ones AND the skinny ones- so just buy the set of them. The skinny ones are the negative.

You do realize the WO takes considerable less power than the Type R? Also realize the XMAX on it is only like 1/8" compared to 1" on the Type R. What I'm getting at is dont expect much from it- its a $120 MSRP woofer...

well the alpine type r is a lot better than the JLw0. JLw0 i the lowest line and cheapest subs JL makes. An alpine type r will blow it away.

Wow... That's an effin crazy price. They will get you bumpin though, get that trunk sealed good for them. If I wasn't hadnt gto the custom fiberglass enclosure I'd probably jump on some... How much power you going to put to them? Those are the older type r ones so they wont take quite as much mad as the new ones but if manage to pop one of those anytime soon I'll personally shit a brick for you. And Please when you get it... Rotate the left one to face properly, and seal it in there good.
