04 Radio Install with 00-02 Harness?

Ok so I went to futureshop And bought a deck, a wiring harness and the dash kit for my girlfriend's 2004 Alero as an early Christmas present. They gave me a 2000-2002 wiring harness and told me that I can use that but the accessory wire would be the only difference in the 2000-2002 wiring harness and I would have to splice it into the factory stereo accessory wire and the chimes wouldn't be working either, which would be okay.

Has anyone ever gone this route before? I have no idea where in the factory stereo wiring which color is the accessory wire. I don't really want to wire it into something like the wipers.. I want to use the stereo wiring as I initially thought I would use.

Also I didnt want the chime kit because it costs more than I'm willing to pay for it.

no u need the metra 70-2003 like this the other one is different (70-2001)

and then get a fuse tap like this and plug it into an unused switched fused spot on the passenger side like the sunroof fuse and run your accesory wire to this
