well its been another long night of sleeplessness so I was just shopping around. I think I like the TSW ones the best, but the American racing are not bad either. I'm defiantly wanting 17's, and in a similar style like these 4 are. If anyone could provide imput on different brands and info to help with shopping that would be much appropriated. when spring hits I'll be ordering some for sure. I want light weight but still with good quality. one thing I'm trying to avoid is the kind that have the little center lug nut cover (like the Verde), I don't like those most of the time. I also think I like the 5 spoke designs best... less weight and better visibility or the rotor and caliper with plenty of room for the rim its self to show off. also, anyone have 8" instead of 7.5" width? is there that big of difference or anything? apparently they will still fit but I want to be sure.

2 or 3. Probly 3 to go with the chrome accents you have.

I always have liked the chrome and black. only style of it I dont like is when all the spokes are black and the interior is chrome... looks kinda ricy to me. Its hard to find ones with a good mix of black and chrome that still have the red stripe. and I really want a red stripe to go with the calipers, red/black pinstripe, and interior lighting.
Edit: added a new one

I agree with Whiterider. 2 and 3 are the best looking.

For me its between 1,2,5. Could anyone answer if the wheel width of 8in will be a problem instead of 7.5

Since I'm a huge fan of the spoke leading all the way to the edge of the wheel, and two-tone wheels, I'm gonna say #3 is the winner. Sleepy, don't you have those wheels or something very similar?

I like #2 and #3, but for your chrome accents #3 is the best.

Depends on the offset of the wheel.
My Eagle Alloy 185s are 17x8" with a +38mm offset, and fit fine. I use a 3mm hubcentric spacers to get an effective offset of +35mm. This pushes the wheels out a bit and I think looks better, without any huge undesirable effects.
I could probably push them out another 3mm to +32mm, but that starts putting a lot of unusual stress on wheel bearings and such and also fouls up the scrub radius.

#3 for sure! I need to come check out your car sometime soon. You've done a lot to it since I last saw it, and I've always wanted to see a kitted Alero in person.

I was gonna buy #3 myself but the company I was to get them from locally ( cheaper then online prices ) could get them but without a date saying when I would have them ( minimum of 4 months id have to wait ) so I said don't bother since I didn't want to wait that long for rims to come in

I'm looking at the American racing ones and the 2 TSW ones I'm really liking. I'v also done some research and heard good things about their company so far. I like the style of #3 but it have the center cap, I dont like that, I want to be able to the lug nuts, and those things just feel cheap... the #5 TSW ones would be perfect if I could toss in a bit of black accents on them and the red stripe around them.

for #5, you could powdercoat the inside portion of the rims black, and have the outer edges in between the spokes done it red... would obvioulsy cost extra, and I have no clue how it would turn out, but its an idea...

You'd have to let em know the offset of the wheel you're thinking about. I have 18x8's all around with no problems, but I don't remember my offset to really help you out.
From my posts back in the day discussing them, mine are 18x8 with a 40mm offset. Rolling on 235 40 18's.

40 offset is too high!

I like 1 and 3. I almost bought the American Racing wheels myself. I'm just not sure how great the Anthricite will look on the car. Also, I think it will be textured and hold brake dust like crazy. I just bought some ION wheels for mine. I had them installed yesterday. I think they look pretty nice, although if I could have afforded to upgrade the wheels and tires at the same time they would have looked better as 18's

I had some 18s on at one time. They are to big for my taste. As of right now I'm thinking tsw. Not sure on wich style, but it'll be a while before I can get them anway
