For starters, i have a 2000 Oldsmobile Alero GLS Coupe. For a while now, i've been having trouble putting down my driver side power window. The switch doesn't click like it should, it seems loose. I normally have to play with it for a while to get my window to go down, maybe 3-10 tries, applying pressure at different angles... hasn't been a huge concern.
Today it's been in the mid 20's i think and while on break at work, i had trouble getting the window to go back up for the first time. I think i turned the car on and off a few times, after like 3 minutes it went up. When i got off of work and started the car, the window immediately went down. I had some trouble but was able to get it to go back up with the car on, engine not running. Started up the engine and it lowered itself back down again.:mad2: Since then i could not get it back up, so i taped some trash bags over it and called it a night.
If i replace the master power window switch, think it will resolve my problem? I was thinkin' about going down to the junkyard in the morning and getting one, plus maybe some other small things. Anybody understand exactly what went wrong?
