I have the 3.4 v-6 engine and put the interceptor in about 4 months ago and on monday when we got hit by the large tropical storm I was on my way to pick p a friend and drove through some water, my car was idling at 1300 rpms and when I put it into neutral it would rev to 2000 on it's own, I took off all my mods, then came to the interceptor, and noticed that the water had gone inside the plugs at teh end of the transmission and interceptor, it looked corroded so i took it off and replaced the transmission plug back in. It stopped the problem for a while then when I went to restart my car it began to repeat the process, when I put it in drive the rpms go to about 1300-1500 and the car accelerates by itself and slows down to about 1200 rpms around 40mph. So I was wondering if anyone had any information about fixing this problem. I hope I don't need a new tranny, b/c that costs a pretty penny. Any information reguarding this would be helpful. I also sprayed WD-40 on the ends of the plugs to try and stop teh corrosion, but I don't know if that would hurt it more. HELP ME PLEASE LOL.
