So lifes been pretty busy lately with a new job so I havent been able to do much with the alero lately. I got home 2 nights ago and everything was working fine, but in the morning i got up and went to start my car before work and it wouldnt go, granted its -25 degrees out. So I pushed it into the garage and left it there to defrost overnight. Tried again this morning and no start. So Taking advantage of my first day off in months (due to no ride to work) I took the spark plugs out and they were fouled and one or 2 had some oil on them. I know that ive been burning oil for a bit so I cleaned the plugs up pretty good with a soak in seafoam then a wirebrush with some brakleen. Threw them in, now after a bunch of cranks i can get her to start up but it doesnt run right, first it ran at 500 RPM then at 1500, normal for me is about 900-1200 idle. It sounds odd to, very low rumble with an almost screeching sound (sorry i dont know how to describe it to well). Any help is apreciated.

I dont think so, I shut it off and restarted it and let it run for a few and still the same problem

is the rpm bouncing around or holding steady at one of those points depending on how long it has been running

Did you get it warmed up before you turned it off?
