so, after reading a few things here and there, ive decided i should probably replace the timing chain tensioner in my car. the motor being from a 2002 saturn l200, means it has the old style tensioner and they are prone to failure and ruining heads. anyone have any experience with this? supposedly GM started using a revised tensioner in 03 and up. but people have had the old style in 05s.
so should i invest as a precautionary thing or what?
