Cluster not working

Hi everyone,

I recently had an electrical trouble with the alero and made it repaired by my cousin.The car wouldnt start or turn at all.Now its working but a part of the problem is still there.None of the gauges in the cluster are working at all.The radio works at ACC but not when the cars running as well as the cruise control system not working at all.The lights usualy turn on when we remove the hand break but now,I have to manualy angage it.I checked all the fuses and all good.

If someone could help it would be great cause im pretty sure its not a big deal but i cant solve it!

leo, jai une switch d'ignition et les fuse box... un bcm si tu veut faire des tests.. bref rapelle moi 514-791-0830 jsuis pret a te donner ce qui reglera ton probleme

^^ I understand that... lol... probably one of the few that do though... I just don't speak french much, if at all anymore lol... can still read it though!!

sounds to me that the connections might be highly corroded... might not be the switch at all, but the connectors themselves... too dirty to make a proper connection to allow anything to work.... good luck

Okay i checked it and all connections are ok.The original problem,the car wouldnt start at all and nothing worked,it was so frustrating.
My cousin did something in the fuse box and told me about magnetism in the ignition switch and got it started and the car goes well now.But no gauge working now as well as the radio,lighting and cruise control system

Whats weird is that i changed both the underhood fusebox and ignition switch twice and im sure the parts were good.im really freakin out.
Could it be a shorted wire ?
Im not willing to dissamble the whole thing.
Could the ECM be broken and still make the engine running?

j'ai les 2 side fusebox dans le dash... j'ai deja pogner de la corrosion la dedans et ca faisait que je ne pouvait pas pluguer un scanner sur le char, il avait des pins carrément pourrie a cause d'infiltration d'eau... des fois il y a de l'eau qui coule sur le bcm aussi et ca short le bcm... j'ai le bcm aussi si tu veut faire des teste... et si ca règle ton probleme je te les donne les morceaux
