so ive always had in issue no matter what led i try weather its on or 5 led bulb they never stay on all the time. i thought it was the connectons so i tightened them all up but it seems like after a while they always go out and they arent blown. they work everywhere else in the car with no issues for years. but anytime i try putting in the guage they work for a while then stop. does the guage need a higher power bulb since the leds are under 1w? i dont get it ive seen people on here post leds in guage cluster before? anyone else ever encounter this?

did you soldered them or used an adaptor to make them fit in the board
I have some socket for the t10-inverted leds that works perfectly in the cluster...

my buddy has those in his and they are still working fine. I put in the 5led 194's in my mine and they keep burning out after a few weeks of throughout a flashing fit. It could just be faulty bulbs though, I put the same ones in my front turn sigs and they only last so long. mine were the ebay cheap 20 for $10 or whatever packs. I'm wondering if getting some higher quality will help the situation any.

I have the 5 led 194 bulbs in mine and I soldered them in to the socket. It def helps to invest in higher quality ones as the resistors on the cheaper ones tend to burn out fast. Has anyone soldered LEDs straight to the board?

Cmon, it's really not that bad. I use the Dolphin browser on my Droid all the time and have zero complaints.
Anyways, back on topic. Any update on your ventures?
