well after a ton of sanding and painting and what not I racked up about 7 hours this weekend getting the exterior back into better shape. I repainted the rear bumper and side skirts. touched up paint around the car, worked on a little rust, grill mesh in the front bumper, and I had to sand off those effing little bits of pin striping, it was VERY tooth grinding work but after some re-painting fanned out to color match and some buffing it looks a better. there are still spots around the car where you can tell its 9 years old with 200000 miles but it really not to bad. after a good wash and wax when it warms up I'll probably be done with the exterior. its spruced up enough now to get me by for a few years until I upgrade cars. now I just need to get the sway bars and lowering springs dropped in and hopefully the exhaust rebuild will be done a few weeks, then well, the ho will probably be done. in some spare time in the upcoming weeks I plan to paint a few interior components but I don't plan on dropping any more money into the car unless it to keep it running or regular maintenance. either way I'm glad I spent the time I did this weekend, she looks a ton better.

is tinting considered regular maintenance? Because I think it should

local cops frown upon tinted tails so I'm playing that one safe. they already dont like me. and I have 15% window tint to put on when the door panels are off for painting and thats below the legal limit in IL anyway. but for some reason they dont seem to care about it...

What did you use to paint it with?

the color match paint in the cans at autozone. the bumper and skirts had 2 coats of primer before 3 coats of paint. the primer is a VERY close match to the olympic white anyway so it didnt take much to get it looking good.
