Domestic Performance's Limited Slip (http://www.domesticperformance.com/product_info.php?products_id=282)

I just came across this on the Domestic Performance site...it says it's available for the 4t-40E and the 4t-45E and other transmissions. A limited slip on our cars would be very nice...please anyone put your input/knowledge in here!

Do a search over on GAGT.com for posts by phantom505. He's the only person that I know of that has the LSD installed (as well as the 3.4L HP Turbo and various other parts that are to be released).

Springs..you're more into the higher performance area w/ the 3400's. Do you know NEthing bout this unit or how well/efficient it is? Is it worth the $500+ for it? How come no1 has said anything bout this unit b4 either?

I havent looked into it much
phantom and I talk and he seems happy with it.
a clutch style will work just fine but the clutch can/ will wear out.
there are better styles available but not for our trans:(
as for if its worth 500 or not. well thats somthing you have to ask yourself.
To me.... No.
Consider this. To install it you have to remove the trans and then have the diff installed.
labor can be just as intensive as the price of the diff.
so if your going to spend that much, might as well get new clutch packs, bands and have the trans gone through.
but they want 3k or so for their built trans.
even with me going sick in my manual I'm at less
275 for my trans
260ish for my aluminum flywheel
600 for stage 4 clutch masters clutch
150 shifter and interior trim
150 B&M short throw

so 1435 is my ballence right now
the limited slip for mine could make the price jump fast and after axles, cable and such I'll prolly be close to 3k. but its for somthing I really want that will be capable of holding lots of power.
I'd rather spend it on that than 3,000-3500 on a slush box

yea....alright man, thanks I was just curious about the LSD cuz I've never heard of it for the alero before and it's always cool when you come across something you've never seen for our cars before in the performance category. If anyone else has any input, feel free! I'm all ears.

Thanks again Springs
