How do you remove the timing chain (or i read something about tying it up so it doesnt move) enough so i can take off the head?

I highly recommend you get access to a Mitchell, ShopKey5, Alldata, or whatever other electronic factory-type service manual. They are extremely useful and usually very detailed with diagrams and whatnot.

with it being an ecotec...if you havent already i would just redo it while i am in there...that is yet another thing that i don't want to do but think i am going to have to get around to this summer...it is starting to get a wee bit rattly
