Hello, newbie here. yesterday i replaced my aftermarket sony xplode that the previous owner had with a walmart duel radio, its cheap but had all the functions i needed. after a few hours i hooked the battery back up and noticed that it didnt turn on. i took it out and saw i wired the speaker wire on the wrong set, then redid the process and now it turns on, but when i try doing something, it just flickers blue. any help would be appreciated, thanks. :)

take it out, get a real radio and reinstall using a aftermarket new harness and follow the directions

Once upon a time I tried splicing each individual wire and in the end I still took it to bestbuy and paid for the harness and lifetime installation warranty. It still serves me today in fact, wherever I go.

In fact, some screws have started coming loose causing some vibration. I'll let those guys tear the panel off and tighten it up while I chill and play words with friends. And why I chose bestbuy? (because they will be pricier) They are everywhere. So I know I will get service.

I have no affiliation with the store, but it has worked great for me for the years I have been driving with aftermarket parts. Not much of a good suggestion but no one can see what you did or how it is hooked up. Without writing an essay of details we won't be able to guide you very well.

Sorry bud.

P.S.

I have been very happy with my Kenwood deck and Infiniti speakers x4. Nothing crazy. Mid-grade deck and good speakers for some good listening on the road. My exhaust makes such things more difficult these days though.

as for the subs and amp, its all about what kind of music you like to listen to,
i have 2 kenwood 10s in mine with a 1700 watt kenwod amp, the bass is nice and clean

I work for best buy and i can vouch for the car install guys. And as someone went to college for auto mechanics its hard to impress me

I second that. Can't say i've had any bad experiences. And if it doesn't work right, you just keep going back. Love the warranty.

We all like to do stuff. Some can do more than others. Sometimes it is just easier to let someone with more equipment and time to concentrate on the project.

I also did Bestbuy's install. Dual DX4010SAT Radio -(I liked it, had a lot of kickass features, sounds great, was cheap and works really well) Clarion x4 Speakers on a Kenwood four channel amp. X2 a/d/s 10" subs on 400w Bridged with a Kenwood amp. They did an amazing job wiring everything up, hiding all the wires and mounting everything just right. they even installed some sheeting to stop my door panel rattle.

I've owned a dual motorized before, and it worked great until I couldn't do anything with the knobs or buttons then finally the remote wouldn't work. Come to find out that the ribbon cable that connects the head to the deck was poorly done...Bought a JVC instead cheaper than the dual I bought and a 100 times better.

If it is flickering I would just take it back...here they usually bench test them and if something is wrong they will replace.

alright, i found the problem and it was a defect in the actual radio itself. but all my speakers stopped working, it just feeds all the sound through the sub.

Have you replaced the radio with a known good one? If so and the speakers aren't working do you have a car with the monsoon amp? There is a remote wire for the amp that needs to be hooked up.

I have a kenwood ordered, and my amp is a 1000watt alpine

No I mean did your car come with the factory monsoon amp...I think it is in the trunk to the left side just behind the carpet or something like that. I don't have one personally but I know that a few times on here when there has been an issue with speakers not outputting sound it has been because of the remote wire to the monsoon amp.

Glad you figured it out...sometimes it takes going throught the entire installation double checking to ensure everything is wired completely. Its a pain in the ass but can save you time and money in the long run. Enjoy the system!
