Si I have been watching a Razzi kit on ebay for over a year now and I finally got the money to buy it! I even got it about half price of retail which is awesome!

So, bdyman, I know I'm about to swear and unleash a plague.... But, I have sold enough of my vintage video game collection to be able to take my car to MAACO for the medium level paint job for the new Razzi kit! I know, I said MAACO, but this is a quick get me by for a year or two. In the past I have had so many "project cars" that I spent top dollar on stupid things, just to have the car blow up or trade it for something else... I have no plans to trade the Alero, but just in case I will start cheap while I finish my suspension and interior upgrades and after those are done I can have a real paint job done.

BTW, BDYMAN... You're in Illinois right? If I take recent pics of my car and the little bit of door dings she has and such, could you work me up a rough estimate for a real paint job? I've seen your work and I would have no issue bringing the car to you for final paint.

Based on your pics, you need some HID action going on.

These lights are the euro spec beams. They are actually extremely bright.

Got all of my GAGT side skirts and door moldings today as well as a new seat to fix my stupid foam pad that's torn. The Razzi kit will be here soon and within a few weeks I should have it off to the paint booth!

Regardless, at least for aesthetic purposes, get HIDs.

Umm.. dumb question maybe.... how would that make any aesthetic difference? Wouldn't that just be bulbs in the housing?

ok i can not give you a estimate by just pics i have to see the car in front of my eyes, and i do live in chicago but my woman lives in nw indiana i told you this in your other thread, schererville to be exact, which is 2 1/2 hours from you

you go to macco and have the work done by them my price will double for their shitty work, i dont care what anyone says on here you all can kiss my ass macco fuckin sucks!!!

my normal going rate for a complete paint job is about 4,500, after you go to macco now this is a rough guess, knowing the work they produce its going to jump to 6-7k just to fix and redo the car correctly

you do what ya want its your choice just keep that in mind

I already ruled out Maaco. I didn't even bother getting a quote from them.

How long would you need the car to intall the kit and paint it?

Are you familiar with the Kelvin scale?
Most stock bulbs run similarly to 4300K. A lot of people run 6000K because it has a slight bluish tint to it. I am currently running 10,000K so I could match my LED DRL's. Also, HIDs putout a LOT more lumens than halogen. I couldn't say for the euro housings, but the US housing have a decent beam pattern.

I run 8000k HID's in my car, and LOVE them!
