A while back I bought some fog lights from an Alero being parted out, but my car never came from the factory with fog lights. So I spliced into the headlight wiring to run a relay to power my fogs.. I'm not happy with the job I did way back when I was a noob with this mod so I wanted to get a new headlight harness from an Alero with fogs so everything is just plug-and-play.

I know that I need to install the relay and fuse in the passenger side fuse panel and I have to get the BCM reflashed to run the fog lights. One thing I'm not sure about is where does fog light switch plug into on the driver side vent.

Also does anyone know how to remove the headlight wiring harness? It looks like it connects to the fuse box somehow, but I'm not 100% sure.

why not just get the factory fog/dimmer switch plate for the interior, and just wire them up directly to that, sort of like aftermarket fogs would wire up to, and save the hassle of reflashing, pulling wire harness etc.? just a thought...

I just like everything clean and OEM looking... I hate wiring splicing.. I'm happy spending the extra cash to redo things the way they should be rather than hacking up the original wiring. :)

thats a lot of work. if i were you id go with what shiwnath said. it would give you the appierence of factory fogs and you can still do it that way in a very clean mannor. imo.

What I originally did was just cut the foglight plugs off from a junkyard alero with foglights and just ran relays for power.. I'm thinking it won't be too hard to get a whole headlight wiring harness from a junkyard and wire it up... it's only headlights.. doesn't look too hard.. I'm just wondering how to remove the headlight harness.
