I'm going to be at Myrtle Beach from October 2nd until the 9th. Just wondering if we have any members in or around the area.

I try to go every year so I'm sure next year won't be any different. We stayed at Topsail Beach one year and it was really nice. Besides going back up there for some shopping, I'm just gonna be a beach bum.

I want to find a good place on the beach to take a pic of my car but can't remember any. Do you know of any good spots? I know that you can't drive on the beach where our condo is but I've never ventured out on my own. Not too fond of getting lost when I don't know anybody around there... and maps lie. :lol:

That would be Josh. I'm going with my Mom, Dad, my Moms friend from work and her husband. Josh works with Mom and Gerri. He's 22 or 23 but he's cool, just really shy and quiet so he'll probably stay behind. We're not dating or anything so it's not like I even have to even invite him.

No actually it is just south a little, in surfside beach. The condo is One Ocean Place. Only like 5-10 miles from Mrytle.

I'm a freshman at Coastal Carolina in Myrtle Beach which is just a few minutes from the beach. Freaky tiki's is a small club, Club Boca is a small but good club, Kryptonite is the biggest one, and Club rubber is another good one.

My boss? Well, the plant shuts down in December and in July for 10 days each. They would rather us take our vacation during that time because not many people are trained for the job I do. Which isn't hard, I mean gee whiz, I only take about 15 calls a night. But that's what it is. And I'll have to leave at the butt crack of dawn on the 10th so I can be back at work that night. So I'm leaving here when I get off work on the 5th and driving on down. It's all gonna work out ok though. Josh is gonna wait and ride with me. It's kinda good because that way if I get extremely tired, he can drive. :wah: (Only my Dad has driven my car!!) If I had my way about it though, I would take off this week so I can use up my vacation time before I start training for my new job.

yeah freaky tiki's is a club. i havent been there but i have heard good things about it. when i was there last time we went to a place called froggy bottomz. i had to go to the "under 21" entrance but the bouncer was cool when he saw my military i.d. and i was able to get an over 21 stamp, good times. and now that i think about it...isnt colombus day around then? if so thats a 4 day weekend for me so i can stay longer and maybe bring some peeps.

Here is a link to freaky tiki's. http://www.freakytiki.com/ Its is a good club. Been there a lot of times. Every spring break we would take the two hour drive down for the weekend. Plus a lot in the summer. Couple of other good bars right of the strip. My only piece of advise is watch out for the cops. They are everywhere. In golf carts, on bikes, and on foot. They will arrest you for the littlest thing. All they won't is your f***ing money. Bunch of f***ing pricks.

Also, I just found out that we're going on Capt. Dick's deep sea fishing boat one day. They have ocean sightseeing trips that are fairly cheap if you guys are into that kind of thing. They also have saltwater marsh explorer adventures, parasailing and you can rent jet skis. The last two will probably be kinda expensive though and I'm on a tight budget. Jon, how long are you staying? You mentioned about it being a 4 day weekend for you. If ya'll want to check out the Capt. Dick's website, click here. Oh yeah, I won't have a tag along since Josh isn't going now. He didn't have as much vacation time as he thought that he had so that means I'll be driving the 11 hours by myself now. <_<

Are you getting any power to it? Check fuses on the amp and any inline fuses. I had a fuse go in my amp recently. I don't have any subs though.

Nah, that's alright. I don't mind the drive. We drive it alot anyways to go to broadway at the beach, hard rock, etc.

How is the bigger amp hooked for power? A line straight to the battery, converter, or daisy chained? Didn't you just get that amp since your stuff was stolen? Should still be under warranty I would think.

I'm still havin trouble with my crossover. Of course, my system is probably weak in comparison with most since I don't have subs. But it's the quality of sound that I like the most anyway.

I don't know. So far as I can tell, it's not a saftey issue as long as my tie rod is alright. I just don't think I have the money unless it turns out to be a saftey issue and I have to get it fixed. Other than that little problem, she's running great. Got my new struts and tower brace. Took her out for a spin on some country roads and she handles awesome now! :thumbsup:

And as long as your radio isn't stock, your still better than some people. :D

the cable runs from the battery to a splitter then to the two amps. its somehow not getting power while the other one is. maybe its a bad wire?

Yeah definitaly check the cable. You should have an inline fuse. I'd check that as well. You could hook the bigger amp up in place of the smaller, just to test because you know that amp is getting power from that line.

Sure, you can drive it. Not that much more powerful. Mines an auto. Just have a WAI now and new plugs and wires.

Well this time next week, I will be on the road... this loooong, loooong road. But it's gonna be worth it. I haven't decided if I want to leave as soon as I get off work Tuesday morning at 8 or if I want to come home and take a little nap, and then drive down at night. According to mapquest, it's 10 hours and 43 minutes. But, there's a lot of construction around Knoxville so I dunno how that's gonna work out. Last time I drove to Myrtle, I made it in like 8 hours but I was driving my sisters 2000 TransAm...:wub:... I'll probably just go on when I get off work though. Nightmares... highschool sweetheart that was killed 10 years ago coming back saying he's been alive all this time and was kidnapped. Then me dying and seeing him, him saying how glad he was to see me and that he's glad I never forgot about him. Just some weird stuff like that. Hopefully they will stop once I hit the beach for a few days ;)

Hey guys, if you need to get in touch with me before Friday, it would be best to call my cell. My great aunt passed away last night (thursday) so I'll be out of town this weekend. I think I'm just gonna take off work Sunday and Monday night and follow my parents on down to the beach. So most likely, after noon today, I won't be around to check this or my email. I've decided to say to hell with work. I'm leaving at 5 am Sunday morning and following my parents. If I get fired, I'll go to work at McDonalds or something until November. it took me 15 hours is a long ass time to be in the car, i have done it about 6 times in the last 3 months driving up to michigan. glad u made it safe though. im pretty sure i will have enough money, thanks for offering though you guys are great. so if i dont have work on friday i will probably be in the area by noon. still not sure how many people will want to come with me. i probably wont bring any of them to dinner though. they can get rowdy. :lol:

Well it was nice seeing you guys. Mike, sorry you couldn't make it Friday night but I understand. Oh yeah, I clocked it and we walked almost 4 miles Wednesday night (I think it was Wednesday night). My poor toe was sooo swollen the next morning. It never fails, I can't go on vacation without breaking something. And your accent really isn't that bad. Even Gerri said you didn't sound like you're from NY. I'm really not that dingy btw... (shark teeth) :)

Jon, I'm sure Myrtle Beach will never be the same after this weekend. I hope Ken was sucessful in his quest after all that primping he did. Sorry you were stuck babysitting that guy. If it makes you feel any better, I had a 14 y/o boy following me around all week. He tried his best to play practical jokes on me but I kept coming back with better jokes. Gerri told me yesterday that he didn't leave the condo all day Saturday after I left. He just talked about how much fun I was. LOL How sweet. I gotta 14 y/o that has a crush on me. :lol:
