I currently own a 2004 3.4L Alero. And have recently been having an annoying issue with my signal lights clicking non stop even though I am "not" signalling to turn. I have spoken to a couple of mechanics and they told me to replace the hazard light switch behind the dash and that would take care of the problem. However after a couple hours of labor and 40 bucks for the part, it still clicks! Does anyone have any suggestions or know what I could try next? Because this is getting extremely annoying!
Thanks

Call a local GM dealer.
Aleros were recalled for this, but the hazzard switch is the issue.
And a couple hours of labor? You take off the speedo bezel and it's right there  10 minutes, if that

But I have already replaced the whole hazard light part. And the clicking persists. Im wondering if the problem isn't in the wiring somewhere?

I called the dealer, mine has the same issue and he said it expired. I actually called a couple of places and the recall is no longer in effect. I ordered the hazard switch and I am going to replace it! If that does not work, I will order a multifunction switch, but I heard you have to disable the air bags and stuff, and I think its a decent amount of work!

I just fixed this on my car, pull the MFS (multifunction switch) and pull it apart and clean it with electrical contact cleaner, and then re grease all the parts with dialectic grease. Takes little time, saves you lots of money, and lots of frustration... Driving with a constant clicking is annoying lol
