oh ok. well its hard to say really, im sure it will be a mix of good and bad replies, it always is. what all have you done to your car?

It depends on what you've done to your car, as well as what the Prelude has done to it. A friend of mine has one and the only thing he has is a cai and a Greddy exhaust. That thing is super quick.

The Honda Prelude is the 2nd best selling Honda of all time next to the Accord. They've been around in the US since the 70's.

Only one way to find out, go to a track and race it. Each car of the same make and model even varies from car to car. I can smoke stock grand am GT's, and I get smoked by stock grand am GT's.

Good call. There are SO many variables to consider. Mileage, how the car was maintained, abuse, etc etc etc.

i believe its first gen anyway. its an 87 si with a cat back exhaust and custom intake. and i have an 03ecotec with flowmaster muffler. i think i could win.

check this (http://www.welovehondas.com/prelude.htm) out

its a second generation prelude. you should smoke him even if your car was stock. you have about 20 ponies on him.

That is interesting. The guy with the prelude says he runs 10.2 in the 1/8. i've never ran though. theres this other guy with a 2001 sunfire with a 2.2 sohc with full cat and intake, but its a 5 speed. he thinks he can take me too. i'm pretty sure i can take him easily. whats you think?

a 10.2?   im pretty sure your car should be in the 9's

ok on second thought, 9's is a little generous. with a good tailwind you might be able to pull it off though.

i guess i'll never know unless i go to the track. what is usually the speed? i can get up to 70mph in about 10.5 or so.

Not sure about the sunfire, BTW - it isn't SOHC at all, it is pushrod. Made 115HP new, so with those mods would be up a bit, but not as much power as you. He also has a far lighter car, and the 5-Speed. I am voting for him winning by a little bit.....it would be close.

And I have a 2 dr alero with catback and CAI and5-speed. I get 9.8-9.9 1/8 miles usually, got one 9.7 once, these are all at 1/4 mile tracks though.

But the horsepower is still a big difference and the torque is even bigger of a difference. his car weighs about 400 lbs lighter. well if he does get me i'll be able to get him after my full cat back and intake.
