straight pipe or flowmaster 80?

that is my question. new to the 3400, and on a tight budget, what would be the most entertaining?
i can get a 80 series for 80 bucks, however installation and other piping/ tips would cost me. or i could go the autozone route and chop my stock muffler off, put a piece of pipe in its place and screw on a cheap tip.

yeah if you did the straight pipe idea it would sound horrible. you want your car to sound good, not sound like a hunk a junk driving down the road like your exhaust is about to fall off. (no offense)

just cut the exhaust off after the cat.....BOOM....done! :lol: Seriously though....save up some dough and go to an exhaust shop and have them put a full exhaust (cat back) in for ya. Get a 2.25in exhaust and have the cat taken out and a straight pipe welded in. As far as mufflers idk....but dont go without one or it will sound like booooooty. I have the borla without a cat....sounds NICE. But i also have headers and an intake too ;) Can't wait to get a new alero and get her on the road. Miss driving my ho :(

Their is a video on youtube a 3100 lumina with a straight pipe. Pipe starts at the cat on back. Nothing like the sound of a 60 degree v6.
