I would like to either build one or buy one.
If anyone has done this to the 3400, please explain how to make one.
seems like an easy mod that will clean up the engine bay a tiny bit and give me more room to get to my rear spark plugs & headers when the time comes.
Search button came back with no results.

I don't understand what you mean by "EGR Simulator"... If you mean an EGR Delete kit, Milzy Motorsports sells them:
http://www.milzymotorsports.com/miva/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=MMS&Product_Code=0005EGR-DLT
There's no point of removing the EGR... Deleting it causes lower gas mileage with little performance gains... The ends don't justify the means for this mod unless it's strictly for racing purposes.

Mine was "deleted" for many years and I couldn't get 30 MPG on the highway when I used to get 34 to 35 driving out to Michigan every year.
I found out the problem by accident with HPTuners, reset it, and I'm back up to 33-34 ;)
1/4 mile times were worst with it deleted too

Keeping the EGR helps polution emissions and maybe mileage, but it definitely adds heat to the intake charge, which hurts power, especially on the street in the Summer.

EGR simulator instructions. You need (2) 1N4001 diodes. (1) 4k7 resistor. (1) 3k3 resistor. (1) 4v7 zenner diode. (1) 1k5 resistor.
This is for people that wish to keep their EGR valve on the car but can wire the simulator in parallel for the choice to easily remove simulator.

Deleting the EGR shouldn't cause the car to have less performance, it should perform better. MPG will drop, but very slightly, as we're only talking about saving the amount of fuel that is still in the exhausted gases.
Redog, what did you mean when you said deleted in quotaion marks? was it deleted or not? if you physicllay remove the EGR from the engine and installed an EGR delete, I'm failing to see how this hurt performance.

It was set at 284* in HPTuners, which is where it had to be for tuning, but now with it at 60* it's fine

ok, so you changed the settings in the pcm in an attempt to disable it, but it was still bolted on and plumbed into the intake and exhaust, right?

Correct.
And I didn't set it at 284, somebody else did, or I forgot to set it back ;)

Setting it to max temp should be for tuning only as it will skew readings hitting the O2 and/or wideband. Once your fueling and timing is set, the last thing you should do is reactivate it in your pcm, unless it has been completely removed
