odd noise

Scratching / metallic grinding. Last time I heard it was on a luminance 3.1l and ideas the water pump. Its not too bad yet, and only happens some times. Should I invest in a newwater pump now? -_- surprise right after my 30 day warranty runs out . That and my key can come out of the ignition while the car is running.....

for your key thing i dont know if its a problem but my 4 alero's i have had i could remove key while engine runing like it was butter :)

The older a car gets, the key can sometimes come out with the engine running.

If you think it's a WP, just replace it now. $31 at the store ;)

lol good to know the key thing isnt an issue. I will be replacing the water pump as soon as i get paid. any suggestions on brand?
