i ordered a gatorback belt from rockauto, which was a wholesale clearance deal so it came from an independent parts place... the receipt shows part number 4060865 and the cardboard sleeve around the belt shows the same, but the belt itself is a CADNA part 863k6... i know this is an error but will this belt fit? i don't feel like dealing with sending it back :(

Ummm.... First off, the belt itself is a Goodyear Gatorback belt, isn't it?
863k6 = 86.3 Pitch Length - 87.05 Outside Measurement X 6 ribs
4060865 = Effective Length in Inches--86 1/2, Metric Part Number--6PK2195, Number of Ribs--6, Outside Length in Inches--87 1/4, Top Width in Inches--27/32
So it's .2 inches shorter than it should be? I am not sure if that's going to make a difference.
But then I look at Goodyear's webpage:
http://www.goodyearep.com/productsdetail.aspx?id=3128
4060865 6PK2195 6 86.5 87.25
where 86.5 = Effective Length and 87.25 is outside length
Goodyear doesn't have a listing for a 86.3" belt.
Can you post some pics please?

If it matters, I am using a Dayco 5060868 and it fits fine. It's specs:
Effective length: 86.75, metric part number is 6PK2205
I still have no idea if yours will fit, but based on my personal experiences with other cars, it's going to be a bitch to put in, if it goes in at all, since it seems to me that the belt you have there is too short.

It's almost a 1/2 inch shorter, but the thing is, since it states it's a replacement for the Goodyear, IDK if they will take it back based on you saying it won't fit.
Advance Auto is the same way. I needed a new heater core for the Delta and the one listed, that is a direct fit, actually doesn't fit and it's shaped wrong at the top. The heater box doesn't seal correctly and I have a ton of RTV in place to keep the heat from escaping into the engine bay :cry: :eek:

I would send it back. You paid too much for a crappy Korean made belt when you could have gotten a made in USA Dayco. I actually like the Dayco better than the Gatorback because the Dayco belt is thicker. The Gatorback I had was quieter though, until it shredded on me.
That ant their replacement cross references aren't even the same sized belts.
Serpentine belts on these cars are a pain to change out (in relative terms) so you should really get a good one, not a cheap import. I would not even put that belt on a beater.
