I know its getting cold and crap but I need a reason to get out of town. Would be cool to hang some with alero guys again. Terre Haute, Indy, Effingham, anything around here (I'm in robinson IL) Even if its a just a meet a hooters or some crap (we can all peel out infront of a cop for those at ASS  )

depends if anyone else would want to really. i know matt wanted to, and eric is down for almost anything. i doubt anyone else on here would show up. just depends what they think weather wise and stuff.
why are you running from your problems papa? lmao.

If I was running from my problems I'd go rent the Cessna out at the airport for a week and just never come back! I'm tired of this hick vill, only one year left. So terre haute maybe? I'm there. When and where?

terre haute is a little to far for me ;)
plus i have no money for a hotel. and would just like to drive back to my house after.. also.. is this gonna just be a one day thing or what?
cavaliers60
11-24-2012, 05:47 PM
hour and a half isn't bad.... It's an hour drive for me to Terre Haute and about the same for Papa Rad from Robinson... It's 2 1/2 hours for me to drive to Greenwood.... Makes no sense for US to drive farther so you don't have to drive much at all.

Hell I can have people crash here. we have 2 couches in the basement and pull out bed upstairs. Matt lives here in robo to and I'm sure he'd like to meet some people.

haha Terrible Haute, been years since I heard it called that, took 3 years of skoolin at Roly Polytech. Just enough to be dangerous lol

glad to see some other people trying to arrange a meet... but it really makes me laugh at you complaining of driving over 2 hrs for a meet... when we have ours, it is minimum 2 hrs for me to show up and a couple other members have driven 3-5 hrs a couple times for the meets! even with only a couple guys at a time, it is still a blast and driving a bit shouldn't make a difference on if you go or not!! :) just my canadian 2 cents though :P

Yes, but I have a full time job, an 8 month old, and not a whole lot of extra free time and money to drive that far... I'm the only one working, so money is a bit tight... That's why I can't go too far... Maybe if I was on my bike, I could go farther, but it's cold outside.

Your Canadian money is worthless here! Keep your change!!!!!!
But in all seriousness I have no problem driving 5 hours for a meet. But not for dinner and a couple of burnouts
But if I ride with sleepy that's a maybe lol

i mean i also have a job. so does eric. its tough for both of us to have free time lately. i know mfuller would want to do a meet to, but idk cause of the weather and if it was only for a day then it would probably be a waste of a trip to most.
Papa Rad17

Well if can get enough people down for it, I can host a bbq or some crap like that and make the trip worth while for everyone.

Robinson wouldn't be bad. That's about a 45 minute drive. lol

I know what you are saying but to me that's an excuse not to go...
I work 6 days a week averaging 15 hrs a day hav a 9, 3, and 2 year old kids am the sole income for the household and yet still have managed what 4-5 meets this summer alone and had to plan a funeral, estate sale and transfer of a restaurant into my possession ... i kniw about being busy having little free time and roughly no miney... it's the same as going to ASS if you really want to go you're going to go... just make it fit

It would be minimum 7 1/2 hr drive for me :p
To bad I haven't figured out where the noise is coming from to know if it would be wise to take my car on a trip like that...Depending who knows, my car could be the car to fix at ASS this year

You can't compare my life to yours... Just because you can find the time to go in a busy schedule, doesn't mean I can as well... We have different jobs and different incomes. I can go, but it's not really worth it to me to drive more than an hour out of town... Plus, it's cold, and I'll be on my bike.

I may consider trying to find a way to come depending on when it is...my new rule of thumb is whenever I am dissatisfied with a sound my car is making, go and find an alero that sounds or operates worse than mine and it makes me feel all better...this time it was an 02 ecotec with 95k
cavaliers60

If we do it in the spring, I could definitely ride up somewhere on the bike.

why not the alero?
And for the guys who are close. we may have to toss a little something together real soon. could be getting the new ho this weekend!!!
cavaliers60
11-28-2012, 06:41 PM
It's more cost effective... Although, if I sell the bike before then, I will take the Alero... Bike is just better on gas than the Alero. LOL And my car is a disaster...... It's falling apart...
