Hey everyone, my name is Tyler. I don't have an alero but my girlfriend does, I found this site yesterday and figured I would join. I'm not too familiar with the N body, but am on many other 3800 forums for the W/H/G/C bodies. The other forums I'm a regular on are regalgs, rivperformance, bonnevillepro, gmforum, 3800pro, and mnclubgp. I look forward to learning about the aleros, and can't wait to get started!

No pictures of her car yet, it's in rough shape right now. Need to fix some rust and get a hold of some new headlights before I can clear them.

well that park Ave puts mine to shame. I'd get a pic but my wife has it at work.
The only major problem I have going between the two cars is the location of the gas gap - total opposite sides. It's the small things that get me, lol

Let me know if you need help with anything, I'm a pioneer in the park ave world. First to have eibachs, first to have a front STB, I'm sure there's a few other things but there's not to many people to follow with these cars.

The next major project for that car (major for me) is to find out why the AC stopped working after tearing it down to head gaskets twice to find out the Plenum was the problem. (still kills my that it is plastic)
I think we burnt a wire and I get to find it.

Yea the upper plenums on the series 2 suck. You can get an aluminum one from a series 3 L26, I hope you used the revised aluminum LIM gaskets instead of the plastic ones.
Does the compressor kick on at all?

honestly I don't remember which gasket I put on there. I think it was the aluminum though. As for the AC no the compressor is not kicking on. worked fine before the gasket job. Also the clutch will engage if you give it power directly but, otherwise it will not.
To explain the above better we used and external source of the correct voltage to test the clutch of the AC. And if this seems odd that would be because I have minimal knowledge how the AC works.
