I recently joined theAlero club. Purchased a 2000 Alero, 2dr, 2.4, 5sp.

Picked it up for $650. Needed an outer tie rod end for safety.

I live in Northern On, Canada, 41 yrs old, am an electronic technician by trade specializing in mainly professional audio and video installs.

I like to collect vintage pro audio equipment, mainly from the Harman Pro lines, eg: JBL, Harman Kardon, Crown, but also have some vintage Altec Lansing, Crest audio, Electrovoice, and Eminence.

I've been the house sound technician at the Canadian Nightclub here for the better part of close to 25 years installing, maintaining, repairing and operating the sound and lighting equipment there, as well as providing "sound-guy" duties for live bands playing there.

I also currently drive for a taxi/limousine-service company.

Welcome.

Not a fan of Harmon kardon myself but everyone has opinions.

Any pics of the alero? 650 and all it needed was a tie rod?

Welcome from another Ontario member!

If you are up for a drive next summer maybe you could join us for a meet!
Any plans for the car or will it just be a daily driver?

Cool, and welcome! I too was an audio technician in the 70' and 80's, also have some vintage audio reproduction gear and test equipment, including a HK Citation I, Crown D150 and JBL 2215. I still break out the HK for occasional use. Hey, it might help heat the garage, too. :awesome:
