Thats close to what my 2.4 idles at. I think mine sits a little closer to 700 usually.

I ask this becuase my gauge faces and head lights flicker slighty when at idle and I rev it up just a couple hundred they dont flicker. Anyone have a idea what that is all about.

Maybe a problem with your gauges. Do any other lights flicker besides the new gauges? Could be a short or possibly an alternator going.

Well my gauges flickered some before I put in my speedhut gauges but it is way more noticable with them. I found a cracked spark plug boot so iam going to go out and buy a new set maby that may fix the problem becuase I also have a post about my car not idleing right and kinda wanting to stall out.

Still idles the same but it feels like it has a bit more acceleration.
