Anyone recommed this intake? I'm in still looking around. I still have Induction-Dynamics on my mind, though, its high up there in price. Here is this link for the 2.4L Chevy Cavalier / Sunfire / Grand AmWeapon R CAI (http://www.prostreetonline.com/buy/weapon_r_dragon_intakes/807-111/default.asp)?

The piping is OK but the filter is just a thin cotton. I wouldn't get it, as least not for a daily driver

I guess I didn't think about that. Ah, well I guess my best bet for cai is induction-dynamics, better start saving...thanks yo.

I got procarparts intake for a 2.4 liter cavi and seems to work good the tubing seems a bit small but it bolts right up no prob and I eventually replaced the filter with a APC Intimidator Filter. You can see pics of on my site (http://www.cardomain.com/id/vtolds).

What is the diameter of the pipe? 3 inches?

if all you want's an intake, look into Vibrant Performance's Short Ram Intake for the Cavalier...fits nice, and looks good too...can see it below

I ordered it and it came in yesterday. It's rather nice. It took me about 30 minutes to install. The problem is I had a 3-inch cone filter so I stuck a rubber ring in the space between the pipe and the rubber on the cone filter. It fits perfectly. Just uh.. when I accelerate a bit, it makes a whistling or wooshing sound sometimes because of the metal screen on the filter (I think).

no, the whistling is air passing by the butterfly in the throttle body, we all have it. and the black box on the stock intake tubing (at least on the 3400) is somewhat of a resonator to deaden that sound, among others.

Thats not true, I have the induction dynamics CAI and there's no whistling at any throttle level...

its in a very short rpm range, and only with the auto (as far as i know)
i've had CAI and WAI with a total of 3 different filters (k&n included) and havent heard any change in my intake whistle.

and for the sake of argument i just went outside, and got a whistle from it by giving it gas under the hood, with AND without my filter on.
