So my blinker works but the light doesn't stay on? Not sure what this could mean? Should I replace the bulb or what else can it be?

if it doesn't do it on both sides...if one side is fine swap in the bulb from the other side, if you are talking about the bigger bulb, then I believe it is double filament so if I am right then one of the filaments might be bad...I need to get around to messing with this sometime as well because my passenger side is doing that sometimes...Personally I am just going to replace my bulb because I think it is the original one, my car will soon have 160k with most of the mileage was obtained while it was dark out, and on my bulb in question the color is peeling off the bulb

Of course not. The turn signals are SUPPOSED to go on and off.

Wait - is this the front or rear one? And do you mean the parking light(s) don't work?

The parking lamp is out, then. As was mentioned earlier, that's a dual-filament bulb - a 3157 or 4057. When replacing, I'd use the NA variant ( 3157NA or 4057NA) to keep it more amber. Also, use some dielectric grease (aka "bulb grease") to help keep the socket sealed, and to help dissipate the heat created by the current through the wiring and the actual filaments being hot.
