Well last weekends Snow storm took out my car for a while. lets just say icy bridge and sharp curve on exit ramp at i225 southbound to Alameda slid into the curb, well not just the curb the storm drain....

as you can see the frontdriver tire hanging on a lil bit

well only by the brake line, control arm and tie rod.

axle was pulled out of the trans
steering knuckle broke.
bent the control arm

but all said and done insurance is paying for repairs.
$2381.27
and i have a few parts already so i get the difference between what it cost and what is done.

i snapped an axle, cost me 180$ to repair.

2300 is a lot, but insurance covered it, yet your insurance probably rose.

My son did something like that to his GrandAm years ago, I got the whole hub assembly and everything from Stadium Auto Parts, about a hundred and a half, or so. He still drives his Alero that route to work sometimes. That's close to where that Aurora shooting was. Think I'll check in on him.

That sucks. Glad you are ok. Swap a 6 speed in there for the rebuild!

I tensed up thought i hit the guard rail.
but when i got out thats what i saw.
i just did everything on the front end minus the knuckle and axle.
funny thing is i have the axles in the trunk.
so the repair shop will use mine.
insurance still paid to replace it.

jlw7213 i dont believe so but if that comes up when they get it in for alignment
and yes alerob888 its not to far from here.
papa i wish i had the money would love to have a 6speed but that may not happen till i need a new car.

the quote covers all brand new parts.
knuckle, axle, control arm, strut, wheel(wont happen),fender liner, fender to be painted(wont happen), brake line.
so far not the hub, find out with alignment if that needs replaced
as far as we know so far. getting the old parts back or hold on to them.
they all had warranty from advance. hubs from 1aauto with 2 years
