I have a brand new battery and my car worked fine last night started fine I go tonight and she's darined! Idk what it is but on my amp I have my remote power hooked up off my 12v power I don't know what remote power is? Could that be why it drains my battery?

does your amp have a light indicator? if so does it stay on when car is off?

If you have your remote power jumped from the 12v connection, your amp will be on 100% of the time. The remote wire needs to be on a switched source. IE ignition or via remote output on receiver, that way it is only turned on when it should be. Even though you may not be playing music, the amp still draws power when it is on.

you need to tap into a wire that is switched and comes on when car is on. like ignition wire. or the remote wire on back of radio (if aftermarket) i ran mine to back of radio

What color would this remote wire in the back of the radio be?

mine was blue, every radio is different. if you have the manual to the radio (if its not stock) it will tell you.

Most aftermarket radio's are the same wiring. Blue is the remote wire.

The connections are usually on the radio chassis too. It's a sticker that tells you what each wire does.

When you jump it you gotta make sure that 1. the connections are clean....2. the car jumping you remains on...3.after the cables are hooked up you wait a minute or two before trying to start your car. Don't just hook the cables up and try starting it right away because that wont work.
