I know everyone gets a 80series to compliment their v6alero. But in the interest of saving a few bucks and less hassle installing, would a 44 or 40 series be a good alternitive? Single in single out with a dual tip ? I want loud but not so loud it will annoy me and like i said so its easier to install

One thing I want to do is put the muffler where the stock resonator usually goes, if it can fit. That way, if it's still too loud you can add a resonator downstream from it, and maybe a cutout before the resonator. Lot's of possibilities, so little time :(
i have a 44 0n mine and i love the sound

The first exhaust I put on mine was 40 back in the day. Sounded awesome until one of the baffles in it broke free causing it to rattle.

Don't do a turbo muffler, they SUCK on the 60* engine.
You can do a single 40 or 44 on there, it will fit. Just look at mine

Ken how is your exhaust done ? Where is the y pipe ? And did you go under the rear suspension or over it like stock pipe ? I love it!

"Y" pipe is actually on backwards, but the guy that did it said it would flow the same or worse if he put it on the correct way, then have a 180* bend right after it

Im going to do something similar to what redog has only Im doing a single muffler res delete then under the rear suspension and thrush welded (34 dollars after employee discount) same as flowmaster 40. Then to a dual outlet tip. I hope it sounds good. Make the car look stockthough i love the dual exhaust look. Im going for cheap and effective
