Hey everyone, new to the site but not online car forums - had an 06 Ion RedLine for almost a year, fun little car but traded it for something with a bit more performance - anywy, don't have the IRL anymore, but I am daily driving an 04 Alero with the Getrag 5spd, and want to change the trans fluid except the drain plug is stripped (the socket, not the threads) would you guys have any idea where to find the drain plug, or even a part #? - Thanks a bunch

You could go to your local dealer and ask. Also www.rockauto.com is pretty good for part numbers.
Sleepy you're useless sometimes :)

That was my next step, going to the dealer, but thought I'd see if anyone knew beforehand, to make it a bit easier - I'm pretty sure they wouldn't have one in stock, so

you could be surprised, when the temp sensor went out on my car, while an l61 ecotec motor is more common than the getrag, they had a bin that had them, if you go to a bigger gm dealership, I would guess they might have them around still

Yea I guess it's an M18 x 1.5, and GM has them in Michigan haha it's a few days out, nbd. GTO was a DD for a while, unfortunately, so not really any big mods to speak of. Red, 05-06 hood, short shifter, 20% tint, HID's, converted the interior panels to OE Red, flowmaster exhaust with mufflers removed (straight pipes off the cats) and a k&n drop-in.
