sleepyalero
06-14-2013, 03:25 AM
They are just bolted to the stock mounts.

Nas Escobar
06-14-2013, 05:44 AM
Not bad... I've contemplated swapping the seats in my Cutlass to either Camaro or Prelude seats... something more comfortable.

sleepyalero
06-14-2013, 08:37 AM
Just measure, drill holes, mount really.

03Sleepr
06-14-2013, 09:32 AM
Should have got some seats that match your interior. ..the blue just kinda sticks out. But I like them.

sleepyalero
06-14-2013, 10:11 AM
It was either black or blue man, blue came first. 600 per seat. I paid 420 for the pair. ;)

03Sleepr
06-14-2013, 10:19 AM
No well in hell I'd pay $1200 for a set of seats...but I'd pay $420..

sleepyalero
06-14-2013, 01:42 PM

06-14-2013, 03:28 PM
seats look out of place lol

I am guessing you don't harness in each time which is why you kept the factory belt there too.

sleepyalero
06-14-2013, 04:46 PM
Thanks!

And i do harness in everytime, its illegal around here if you take stock belts out of car.

Also seats were cheap, couldnt bitch.

Ive really been thinking about putting racing seats in the front of my car since im pulling all of my interior out since its tan and that light brown color and getting it all PROFESSIONALLY redone black but im nervous about getting them to fit right...

I'm pretty sure they'll come out tonight at ASS!!

Maybe. ;)

Ive really been thinking about putting racing seats in the front of my car since im pulling all of my interior out since its tan and that light brown color and getting it all PROFESSIONALLY redone black but im nervous about getting them to fit right...

Its all about finding the right length seats, drilling new holes for the seat, and running high grade bolts to hold it to the bracket. Pretty simple. I did it alone in about 3 or so hours, spent an hour and a half or a little less per seat. (Pulling out, getting measurements down as good as i can) pretty easy. Just cant put to wide of seats in it.

02AleroGLS
06-14-2013, 06:45 PM
Ok you make it all sound pretty simple lol! What kind of seats to you recommend to get rhem to fit right? Ive seen universal seats online but was nervous on the fitment issues ya know.

sleepyalero
06-14-2013, 07:08 PM
I would not go by website, you need to see them in person, sit in them to see how you like them. It would suck to buy seats and they be uncomfortable. Also i dont remember the measurements. You need to also see them in person to get measurments for the brackets and stuff.

I wish Aurora seats would fit in an Alero they are so comfortable and the leather is a LOT higher quality.

sleepyalero
06-14-2013, 08:50 PM
These are really comfy as well!

Do you track your car?

sleepyalero
06-14-2013, 09:39 PM
Nope lol

02AleroGLS
06-14-2013, 11:53 PM
Ive raced my alero on the 1/8th mile track a few times. Ive raced a Ford F-150 Harley Davidson Edition and was on his back bumper the whole race. I raced a Silver Dodge Neon SRT4 with the Stage 2 Package and he only pulled me by a car link. I felt like that was pretty good for a V6 Alero.

sleepyalero
06-15-2013, 12:37 AM
Yeah thats not bad. I have yet to take my car to the track.

03Sleepr
06-15-2013, 09:07 AM
I planned on taking mine this week. But the elevation and heat sucks here, my car is slow as a turtle off the line..so I dont want to go and run 16s.

sleepyalero
06-15-2013, 01:01 PM
Hahaha hey its nice to see what it runs. Ive been curious about mine

02AleroGLS
06-15-2013, 01:16 PM
Hey with that 6 speed sleepy you should be alot quicker then me

sleepyalero
06-15-2013, 02:47 PM
Yeah, its gotta a noticable power difference.

02AleroGLS
06-15-2013, 04:05 PM
I bet.. hey i know milzey makes a rear transmission mount and a top engine mount to stiffen it up a bit but what do i do about the driver side side transmission mount behind the tire and the front transmission mount??

sleepyalero
06-15-2013, 05:01 PM
I dont know if there is an aftermarket one available. Check his website.

02AleroGLS
06-15-2013, 05:06 PM
Hmmm.. i looked but no luck. Im thinking about getting some mounts from oreillys to replace the 2 that milzey dont sell and just filling them with Window Weld. That should stiffen the drivetrain up quite alot dont ya think?

sleepyalero
06-15-2013, 05:28 PM
Eh... Idk about that. Im not gonna say it will/will not work.

02AleroGLS
06-15-2013, 06:10 PM
Hmmm.... well darn... I just dont want to burn through mounts ya know.. If it wont hurt anything i'll just buy they 2 mounts milzy and leave the others from oreillys with a lifetime warranty lol

sleepyalero
06-15-2013, 06:16 PM
Yeah, the mounts should last awhile. But couldnt hurt.

02AleroGLS
06-15-2013, 06:32 PM
I just know my good friend that builds up Honda's runs the stock mounts and fills them solid with Window Weld and man theyre stiff..

sleepyalero
06-15-2013, 06:52 PM
I guess it could work.

02AleroGLS
06-15-2013, 07:36 PM
I just want mounts that i only have to install once and thats it ya know lol

sleepyalero
06-16-2013, 12:28 AM
Haha yeah.

06-16-2013, 03:09 AM
As someone from the honda community its actually pretty common on other areas as well. Alot of the drift guys do it as well.

Personally, him not having a harness is very ricer. I would prefer him to have the full harness on both sides (also remember that the top harness is actually BOLTED onto the floor).

To sleepy... bolt that harness on properly, don't tie it the wya it is now... seems a bit.... r i c e r.

I don't think there is or was a n-body fast enough to even require a roll cage.

NHRA is anything under 12 and IHRA is 11.49 and under.

Actually the 4 point harness is on correctly, along with the harness bar. Here is a professional explaining how to do it...

The harness bar is bolted into the correct spots. Heres another car with one, also has his belts tucked away.

http://i921.photobucket.com/albums/ad58/natesalero/892AE6CE-9559-4768-8595-60C3901D7384-584-000000420B439601_zps657b0e23.jpg

4:49 is when he tells you what to do with the extra webbing. And 3:03 to 3:30 is what i did EXACTLY with my belts. So its in correctly.

Got ya, if you're going for appearance, why not? Just hope you never have to use it.

Roll cages around here usually means FAST cars haha. Idk i just want this car completely over done. I could do it to something else. But in my eyes this will be unique. And yes i doubt the car will ever have a roll over.
