Title: So many problems for such a little guy! w. pics

Well, as I've already stated in my intro thread, I know pretty much next to nothing about cars. About a year ago I started experiencing lots of little problems that led to bigger problems. Since then, I've identified the solution and this thread just might help somebody out there like me!

Problems:

Rough Idle
Rough shifting
Car dies when coming to stops

ODM Identifies this as a Catalytic converter problem. This is what the dealership told me! Saved myself $350 from not purchasing a new OEM cata. converter.

Solution:
Replace one little vacuum tube degraded with holes in it. (I think that's what it is. No clue)

Here are some pictures of what it looks like and where it goes.
P.S. The forum flipped the pics sideways. Dunno how to fix it. Sorry!

Glad you were able to fix your problem with little knowledge of cars. If you're looking for little things to do for maintainence to get yourself introduced to cars, try doing stuff like checking your air filter or spark plugs.

If you want a little insight for how to do specific maintainence or repairs on your car, I'd suggest looking here:

Also since this is 2.4L specific, you should've posted in the 2.4L section, but its alright because you're still learning :) just letting ya know for future reference.
