It has been a long day today. I have been surfing Aleromod much of the afternoon (with some car polishing in the middle) and seem to have gained only a grasp of what I need to know. I have many questions, please help. :) BTW, my car will most likely never touch a track.

I have a 2k2 Alero GLS (I think). 3400, four door, with 66k miles on it. Two of four struts are DONE, well done. I just bought all new rubber in the stock size, Potenza G009.

Here is what I know. Comfy ride and performance are exact opposites. Can't have both so I am looking for maybe a 60% performance / 40% comfy mix.

1) Are springs and coilovers different? Will both fit the Alero?

2) The 02 Alero has struts all the way around, right?

3) How about air bags? These ok for performance driving?

4) Can I lower the car a little with the OEM sized tires?

5) For average daily driving with occassional bouts of "fun aka performance driving", would a front or rear sway bar be beneficial?

6) How about (can't think of the proper term now) the front & rear tower bars?

7) For what I am looking for, what would you recommend for a strut / spring package? From what I have seen the most common is Eibach / GR2 package might be a little too tight.

Ok, I think I got all my questions out now. :)

Eibachs are all about performance...
Sprint Springs (what I have) with the stock struts (changing soon) rides nice, and I am happy with how low it went.

Coil overs are adjustable, and can be used for show or performance, depending on what setup u get, probably gonna have to be custom, but I dunno.

Air bags are great for show, but for performance, i don't think so much, the setup is quite heavy.

If you get springs, struts, and sway bars, your ride will not be very smoothe at all, but you will turn on a dime.

I dunno about the OEM sized tires, if you do go that way, ur gonna have a healthy wheel gap.

Hope I helped, not all in order lol but anyways, some other people probably got something to say, so yeah...

"I dunno about the OEM sized tires, if you do go that way, ur gonna have a healthy wheel gap."

Wheel gap is determined by the over-all drop of the car, and is the same between OEM tires and plus-sized rims. THAT'S why we have the tire size calculator. If the outside diameter was different, the speedometer would be off.

Granted, if someone wanted even LESS wheel gap, and went with huge rims, or larger diameter tires than stock, it would work,( with suspension work of course ) but the speedo would be off.
