Time slips and photos.
Keep in mind this is a stock 2.4 motor and tranny. 0 upgrades other than a warm air intake. 170000 miles.
I have never been on a drag strip to drive before. I'm kind of proud of my little car though! I did have a better time than a Mini Cooper haha!

Yeah nice R/T's for the first time out.
Times aren't bad either.
Sleepy, I've upset quite a few little boys in my 10 years of the track, It's my favorite part about racing on import days :D

Thanks. I was a little clueless. I didn't get prestaged correctly until my third run lol.

I'm not to unhappy about the times for what I have. I am somewhat concerned that I may have a head gasket issue going on.

The track doesn't "red light" you guys for under .5? Here, if you react faster than .5, it's over before you even start!

round these parts, zero means zero, Minus -- means redlight

Nope. When we went together my best RT was .022 that day.
Why would they red light you, that RT affects your 1/4 mile lol

The human brain cannot react faster than .5 from light to accel. We go on second yellow and try to hit .500
You clock in faster than a half second reaction and its a red light for you!
I am on quite a bit too man, mostly reading and catching up on what you guys have been up too. Lyndon has my GA now so feel kinda weird even posting anymore. I know, not like im an 8 time N-body owner or something... lol

Im confused are you saying its impossible for someone to run less then a .5xx RT? Cause like i said i did a .022 rt with a slip to show it.

I'm betting your track incorporates this fact into the slip. Next time you go, speak to a track official, the half second is there just some tracks make the half second show as 0. You actually dialed a reaction of .522 which is friggin amazing. You keep that up and you might just have someone offer you a car with the capability of hitting 5 second quarters.... if the right people were to see it
A .500 is a perfect reaction time, cant get any better than that. As well, not all tracks include reaction time, you need to ask about that too. Meaning it shows reaction time but ets are shown from reaction to finish line. The two tracks here do not include reaction time so you could sit there for 10 mins after the green and still trap your 14 second quarter. Try that out next time too to see how yours is set up

Right on. Ill ask but i think its not set up that way but who knows.
Man if i could hop in a 5 second car for a career i would be so happy.....

.5 seconds is the time it takes to change lights on a sportsman tree. First amber lights, .5 seconds later the second amber lights, then .5 seconds later the third amber lights, then .5 seconds later the green lights. Reaction time is measured after the green lights not after the third amber lights. Similarly, it is .4 seconds on a pro style tree where all three ambers light at the same time and then it goes green.

After the third amber lights up i gun it, thats how i scored a .022 and .090
