that was at a track right...you will get in trouble on here for street race type talk...108 is the governor, not really the top speed so tuning would be your answer, but there are components that should be upgraded if you were to go faster than that as suspension and braking system can only handle 110

intake and exhaust are a good starting points...i cant vouch for it but supposedly if you port match the intake manifold there is an increase in upper end power at the cost of some of the low end depending on what you are wanting

Thats what i really want...i got a weapon r dragon filter but would like the piping for it, i e-mailed them and they said send a picture of your engine, so i did and no response..anyway i could make cheap one?

You can order an intake off ebay. Weapon r is stupidly priced for just an intake. To go over 108 you have to tune out the speed limiter in the PCM.

Or just get lucky like me. Mine has seen 130 and the limiter is set at 107 or something according to our tuner.

141 on a closed road. Scary as shit. One thing i say, unless the car is a drag-only car then there is no need to remove the limiter. There is absolutely no reason anyone should have a need to go faster then the cars rated limit from the factory on public roads.

Speed is a funny thing on most forums. Don't ever post "where" and you might be ok. Less info is better in this circumstance. Aleromod has kept its boards very clean about talk like this since its inception many years ago. Oh, Hamilton Airport, yes a landing strip for 747's, 4 years ago I hit 155mph or 250kph using a GPS tracker. There was more there but ran out of runway. I also spent almost 60,000 dollars total on my car to make it do that. Nothing on that car was untouched if you get what I'm saying. Unless you've built the car for it, don't go any faster until you make some serious mods and wear a dam helmet! It will save your life if you have a chance of surviving a crash! Without a helmet, its a guaranteed game over move at those speeds.
Just to give you an idea, at 155mph you are covering 229 feet per second! To go even further it takes you 200 milliseconds to blink on average... that means at 155mph I was covering 45.5 feet in the time it takes to blink! Maybe if people could wrap their heads around just how fast they are going at these kinds of speeds, they would think a little harder about it, before going to meet the big guy upstairs....

Yes guys... TA..lol It will have the GM Performance 4L70E or a Mad Dog 4L60E, stock gear ratio or a 3.42 at most. Middle of the road build with ported 243's and a 230-235 duration cam, 90mm TB and a LS6 intake, long tubes and exhaust. I'm thinking a 112-113 lobe will bring the power low enough to feed those gears and be able to keep it under 6600 on the shifts.That will put me in the 400-420whp range then it will get a 200 shot. Cam I'm looking at is rated for up to a 250 shot. Should not be too hard at all to get the 550whp I figure I need to hit those numbers.

Nice paul. 550 hp is pretty easy to achieve in a ta. My buddy had a ta ws6 with LT's slp exhaust no cat or mufflers. And a mild cam. Also an slp lid. Was pushing 410 hp on dyno with a bad o2 sensor and possibly a going bad fuel pump.

I set the cruse control at 109 a couple of times on the interstate when I was stupid little kid.... I miss that alero.
Fastest Ive been though, 165 in the GTO. I didnt have the balls to keep my foot down any longer, you start covering a lot of ground all to quickly, only little tiny twitch of the wheel and your toast. I learned my lesson a while ago, just slow down and I bet you'll still get there, and with better fuel economy!
