Has anyone used these before? I like the idea of plug and play but the cheap price is a bit concerning.

Only issue I've had with ddm is their shipping generally costs us canucks almost double what the purchase price is... unless you get some sort of sale... my first pair.i ordered from them was almost $100 by the time they arrived to my door... last set was $48... it's hit and miss on their shipping charges...

Theres a lot of options to choose from on the ddm site

not really. get the DDM slim kit. 35w is best imo. for your low beams and do no higher then 8000k. best light visibility do like 4500k.... 6k is pretty good. i have 8000k and i love it. any higher like 10k or 12k has horrible light. its more for show then for using for driving.

Look up on import Atlanta for Dynamic Sound. It's a local shop where I'm from and their prices are hard to beat for what you can get. They do ship USPS and kits start at $35. I have been a veteran customer from the start 6 years ago. Also with them you can buy separate things like ballasts or bulbs. They sell LED light bars LED bulbs for dash and such as well as shadow lights. I know they have 15 watt reverse lights. HID's 35watt, 55watt, 75watt, and 100watt kits but catch them on a Monday cause on Friday they are always low on stock lol. The sell to majority to car lots and shops. Sorry if it seems lie I'm spamming just another HID place I'll stand behind 100% :-)

IDK if you bought the lights yet, but if you don't want to wait 2 weeks or more for DDM Tuning to send you the lights all the way from china, you could buy a set of VVME HID lights on ebay. VVME is one of the few tried and tested brands that they sell on there. Everything else, the ballasts are junk and will not last you more than a year. The only thing with VVME kits is that they're not slim, but it really doesn't matter. They give you a bracket so you can mount the ballasts... just mount them on the side of the header panel.

I have a DDM kit on my Cutlass and a VVME on my Camaro... both work fine, but the DDM one didn't come with a mounting kit.

Have you guys ever had a problem with your HIDS? Ever since i got them ive kinda had a problem with them, one comes on and the other is off so i have to turn both my headlights on manually, and then switch it to reverse or drive or neutral, then turn them back to the auto setting and then they both come on.

Just today i did the same thing both worked fine, went to MacDons, turn the car off (25 mins later) turn the car on and only one works, even with doing what i normally do.

I tried unplugging both connectors and nothin just a glimpse of HID and then off. Only thing i havent looked at is the fuse (-20 degrees gets to ya..lol).

One of my HIDs did the same thing but it only happened when I switched from high lights to low. Changed them one more time and it came back and it hasn't happened since.

Here's a question. I want to HID my hi beams as well (35w/8000k Xentec kit for lows), and I was a bit concerned with something. The ALC turns the hi beams on at 50% during the day. Would that cause any sort of problem with the ballasts, since the power has to go through them first?

You can disable the drls pretty easily. The part where there can be an issue is that it would have to warm up every time you switched and coulc potentially leave a couple seconds of dead area between

I would like to keep the alc if possible. I could always just get a 55w kit for lows, as the lows are now brighter than the highs. I don't use the highs that much now. Or I could go with LEDs for highs.

I see the low beam housing have some sort of vanes right in front of the bulb. Can I cut those out for better light, or are they necessary?
