Saturday Fun Racing
Beech Bend Raceway, 11-23-13

Stock engine, custom trans, LS1 MAF, TCI 68 mm TB, TOG headers, 3 inch Magnaflow exhaust, no resonator, no air filter, Racetronix pump, stock fpr, 36 lb injectors, MSD ignition, stock coils, MP90 supercharger, no intercooler, M&H 8.5x23 slicks.

Nice cold day to race! It took two passes to get the tire pressure dialed in. The first one was almost a disaster, according to the scan -- had severe misfires on #4 and #3. By the third pass they almost disappeared, and I got in 3 decent runs. Here are some stats on the best run:

Ambient Temp -- approx. 50* F
Intake manifold temps:
IAT before burnout -- 68* F
IAT after burnout -- 142* F
IAT, start of run -- 97* F
IAT, end of run -- 167* F

ECT: 194*-- 198* F

Car#-----B888
R/T------.118
60'-----1.839
330-----5.306
1/8-----8.205
MPH-----85.37
1000----10.769
1/4-----12.951
MPH-----104.48

Noteworthy on the scan was a healthy amount of KR, more so going into 3rd gear, and the O2s tapering off to 900 mv (yet the IDC and pulse width not too high), hint of misfire on #3 at about 96 mph. 0-60, 4.439 sec.

I think you need those 60's man. Above 80% they just cant open and close fast enough to keep fuel mix proper. The time it takes to charge the pintle, open it, then close it... you know what I mean man. You could try a pressure regulator too, if you set pressure to 58psi those 36's then equate to around 42's.
But holy hell she's putting it down dude!!! Fookin' A+++ bro! Hahahaha

how do you get that supercharger? are they even made anymore?

I like that supercharger.... Any way you can make it a 10 second car, or are you stuck in 12s?

any wideband data to go along with the scan with the KR?

by the way, it's not the best way to calculate AFR, but if the O2 sensor is in the .9xx's, that's a little bit rich, so leaning it out will help you get a little bit more out of the injectors, although if you can't get the pulsewidths below 20, you really need bigger injectors. You need to use a wideband to measure it and see how much to lean it out.

what is the extra reservoir for in front of the coolant reservoir?

re-routed washer fluid would be my guess...

I do have to say though, it's about damn time someone put the right sized blower on one of these cars.

What would a mp112 do on this... or is it to big

it's almost too big for my 3800 so I think that on a 3400 it's definatelly too big...

yeah I think a MP112 would be a bit overkill on a 3400. On a 3800, all it pretty much does is add a bunch of torque, which the 3800 already has plenty of. To give you an idea, by the time you make the decision to go with a MP112, you've probably already done everything else. When I demoded my monte carlo a few years ago, I put all the parts onto a grand prix, along with our prototype intercooler, and with a slipping supercharger pulley hub, the car made something like 350whp and 460ft-lbs at the wheels with 9psi. Now if you add a MP112, how useful is the extra torque going to be when the car already breaks the tires loose at 40-50mph.

well it's gonna be just pure insanity... with a 5 speed f23...hello torque steer, lol... spinning tires at 60-65mph on the highway is gonna be scary...
