View Full Version : New Hub Assemblies installed

Just installed both right and left front hub assemblies :D. Easier then i thought it would be other then getting a 36 mm Axle nut socket and a torch other then that it was a breeze. If anyone has a question about how to replace them feel free to ask.:coolio:

I went with pretty much OEM replacement off ebay seller was detroitaxle.....yes a torch a hammer and the end result a smell that smelled like musty ass crack

probably to loosen the axle nut because i'm assuming he has no impact gun
If so, next time use a good penetrant and an impact/lots of elbow grease. Not the best idea to custom heat treat stuff on the car, lol.

Ahemmm..In fact your wrong it was used to break the 3 bolts that hold the hub asembily to the axle considering they were in the original Hubs for 13 years. The axle nut broke free the first try and I did in fact have a Impact gun

And yes man I used about 3/4 of a can of penetrant
