New tails: sneak peak

I have realized that I lurk too much on Aleromod and I haven't posted much of any real interest in quite some time.... With that said. I've seen some interesting new custom tail light designs for the alero from a couple of you. I sold my led set and I have been brainstorming and having some new tails of my own made to be unlike any other. We are nearing completion and I have decided to go ahead and give you all a preview that I've been sitting on for months. Enjoy!

Running lights: will also light with brake clusters when lights are off.

I'm still deciding on the final product for the reverse, turn clusters and the 194 areas, but this is what I have so far.

Expensive. And he will not make another set. There will be 1600+ leds once done.

More than any other set made. Less than mfullers projector headlights, but I wanted to make damn sure that this would be the ONLY set like it. Seeing as how they still aren't completed and the cost is still rising I do not have an exact dollar amount finalized yet.

well anyways, it isn't that hard to make them. I could do them myself as far as wiring goes.

My question would be how to remake the clear lens or are you utilizing the old?

Remake using lexan. The guy who makes em uses molds.

Yes it will be! The old series tails were to dim which is why I started this project with him! I told him to light up the road like a stadium!

No he won't. He promised me that he wouldn't make another set like them. He can make a set similar for the right price, but I doubt anyone else will pay what i will for tail lights with the exception of Matt lol.

I sold my last tails in part because they weren't bright enough in the daylight and part because he made another set just like it but added the mesh. I don't like paying for one off items to see a second one made.

Those look pretty bad ass Ryan!! I thought mine were crazy with 72 leds per housing lol!! I still need to figure out turn and reverse as well lol :)

Thanks Tim! I figured that if I just made them complicated and time consuming enough that he'd never do another set lol. So far he's confirmed that! I'm thinking that for the reverse and turns I'm going to have him just do three horizontal lines? I'm unsure... Maybe we will do something similar to his type of staggered 3rd brake light? (I just thought of that) either way it should be sweet when it's done! I'm going insane waiting! I'm already about $450 deep in them from my old set and all of the overnight shipping plus I still owe him a set of cores and the shipping costs for them.

I really like your idea with the border though. I had considered doing that like the Audi a8 style but he proposed these running lights instead and I thought that they would stand out a little more since so many newer cars are now coming with led tails.

For sure... i compare mine to the Dodge dart... only difference is my brake lights are in the centre where the dart is integrated into the same set of lights... plus I'm using though led strips i got not individual leds... if i get the energy.to make another set i may do individuals but i doubt it hahaha!!!
